| At Gates of the Mountains, our goal is to
provide a safe and fun environment for your entire family. When
it comes to our customers, safety is our number one concern. All
of our vessels are inspected annually by the United States Coast
Guard (USCG). All of our captains are USCG Licensed Merchant
Mariners. We conduct annual man-overboard and fire drills to
maintain a high level of proficiency. All of our captains are
required to be trained with a minimum of least Basic First Aid
and CPR, with majority of our employees possessing current
training of Advanced First Aid specializing in Outdoor Emergency
Care.
·
Two of our vessels (The Sacajawea II and the
Pirogue) have a maximum occupancy of 89.
·
Our third vessel (The Hilger Rose) has a maximum
occupancy of 49.
·
These occupancies are very strictly enforced,
majority of the time we will only load to a maximum of 75%
capacity.
·
All our vessels are equipped with:
o
Modern fire detection and prevention systems.
o
Multiple Automatic pumps to ensure dry bilges and
vessel stability.
o
Multiple vessel monitoring systems.
·
We have on-staff mechanics specializing in our
vessels that perform regular preventative maintenance.
·
Safety is our number one concern
o
We will not release a boat if there is any chance
that it is not safe.
